If you’ve never been to an auction before you might not know the first thing about an antique auction. Some people go their entire lives never going to an auction, an estate sale or even an estate auction. A lot of times it’s not until a friend or significant other drags you to a Los Angeles estate sales that you realize that there is this whole world out there offering great buys for an affordable price. You might be shocked to find out that the really cool antique dresser that your best friend has in your bedroom is actually from an estate sale.
Most people when it comes to redecorating their home don’t redecorate because they don’t think they can afford it so they sit on the same couch from college and look at their bare walls wishing that they would get that break in the work force so they can get the really cool statement furniture their friends have. That’s why estate sales are so great and people find such great stuff because it’s affordable and because the finds are so unique. You are buying someone else’s ability to pick out really cool pieces of art, jewelry, dressers and more.
Not all sales are over the moon fantastic. A great way to find good sales is to look at a few estate sale sites and see which companies advertise what and then go from there. After awhile you’ll get a sense of which companies’ sales you respond too and which ones you don’t.
